Welcome to Cowabunga Cat

Christine Skibski
Creative Collaborator | Graphic Designer

Why Cowabunga Cat? I bring that exciting "cowabunga" energy and balance that with the curious thoughtful "cat" approach to each project.

Graphic design isn't just a skill. It's my love language. With over 13 years of professional experience fueled by curiosity and a passion for problem solving, I'm not just your average graphic designer—I'm your creative collaborator, here to exceed expectations and bring your vision to life.

info

I'm Christine Skibski

you can call me "Skibs"

I was raised in Providence, RI, by a nature-loving adventure enthusiast, who I was lucky enough to call "mom", who made me feel like I could do anything and encouraged my (very) healthy imagination. That’s probably what sparked my curiosity and creative problem-solving traits! Back then, I was either pretending to be some sort of animal running around the neighborhood with the local kid pack or inside drawing, painting, and playing Mario.

Today, I spend my time outside in nature with animals and plants or inside designing and, yes, still playing Mario - just not as well.

My favorite thing about being a designer is working with people to understand their ideas and bring their vision to life in a way that drives connection with other humans. It kind of feels like magic—move over, Harry Potter✨

Being a creative and curious problem solver you end up with a broad variety of work. I have organized mine into Branding, Print, and Digital. Enjoy the sneak peek below.
We had the pleasure of working with Christine, as a contractor arrangement, on and off for the past 4 years until she took her latest position. She helped with strategic thinking and creative design solutions for large national retailers and other fortune 500 partners. Christine played an important role as a senior member of the design team—her understanding of design processes, customer journeys and results driven solutions has been missed since she left the team. However, she has been extremely missed for her bright personality and sense of humor—Christine was a joy to work with and we’re glad she has continued on her path as a strategic design professional.
